UPEI’s Atlantic Veterinary College is once again offering their popular Summer Vet Camp.  Different weekly sessions are offered for students entering grade 7 – 12 in the fall of 2017. Any student who applied to University/College online or open house that has not filled out a transcript request in guidance please do so before exams, this is important and will assure your transcript with updated marks will go to your University/College of choice. See Marsha for more information.

Grad bios can be picked up in the library and returned to Mr. McKenna, when he is in room 303 only (not the hallways or lobby).

UPEI has changed their entrance scholarship awards format, you can find the link at Entrance Award Cycle on their website. We also have the names of the additional scholarships that you can find on their website or information in guidance. Please remember that the deadline for these awards/scholarships is March 1st.

Cape Breton University will be here on February 13th if any student is interested in speaking with them let Marsha know.

Holland College Campus Tour Day Second of two annual campus tour days is fast upon us, happening on February 4th from 10am – 2pm. Students interested in attending please go to the  website, www.hollandcollege.com, to register for this great day!

Any students planning on attending UNB will need to fill out the General Scholarship Application form in order to be considered for any entrance scholarships. The DEADLINE is March 1st, 2017 but PLEASE do not leave it till the last minute. You can find the application form here:

Safety Matters at work is holding a video contest. Contest runs from February 1-March 31. Visit wcb.pe.ca/workplace/contest to find out more.

 IWK Research is offering their 2017 Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship to students who want to demonstrate in essay format, their interest in research in health care and how it will improve the health and well-being of children, women or families in the Maritimes.  Students interested in applying for this scholarship can visit their website at iwk.nshealth.ca or see guidance for more information.  Application deadline is March 1st.

PEI Command, The Royal Canadian Legion Bursary applications are available in guidance for students who are children, grandchildren or great grandchildren of veterans. Deadline for this application is April 30th.

 The Workers Compensation Board’s Safety Matters Award is awarded to a Prince Edward Island student who is graduating high school and has demonstrated an understanding of occupational health and safety principles, and has taken the initiative to apply them in school or in a workplace.  The $500. Award is to be used to further your education.  Deadline is May 1st, and application can be found at www.ecb.pe.ca/Workplace/YoungWorker for more information see guidance.
